We are thrilled to present you the last story from our online literature project Stories in times of corona. In the past few weeks, we approached few prominent Czech authors and asked them to write exclusively for us a short story inspired by the current pandemic situation. This time we introduce you to the story No Better Time by Tomáš Ráliš.
Tomáš Ráliš was born in 1997 in Kadaň, where he also graduated from a secondary school. Currently, he studies the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, the study programme of direction-dramaturgy of dramatic theatre. Moreover, he is interested in film, literature and fine art. He writes prose, poetry and plays and as a playwright he debuted as a nineteen-year-old with his play “Svině”. In 2020 he won the dramatic contest of Václav Havel Library Foundation with his play Safety Belts (“Bezpečnostní pásy”) and he was awarded by a study visit in the USA with the chance to participate in an internship at the prestigious New York Tisch School of the Arts including a visit of Broadway theatres. Currently, he is working on a new drama text as part of the project “Autor v domě” by A Studio Rubín.Awarded from Václav Havel Library Foundation
