On 27 November 2019, President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman and Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu ceremonially inaugurated the Czech House Jerusalem. This festive ceremony at the end of November marks the beginning of operations of the Czech House Jerusalem, a facility that comes under the purview of, and is run and coordinated by the Czech Centres. In promoting and raising the good name of the Czech Republic, supporting tourism, and fostering business and trade contacts, the Czech House Jerusalem will collaborate closely with the government agencies CzechTourism, CzechTrade, and CzechInvest. Since the opening, Czech House Jerusalem presented several cultural events, workshops and lectures and many more.
Czech Centres, a contributory organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, are the core instrument of public diplomacy of the Czech Republic’s foreign policy, and strive to support the reputation of the Czech Republic in the world. As a cultural institute, Czech Centres are members of the network of European cultural institutes – EUNIC.
