T.G. Masaryk and the Jewish Question

10.2. 2020 the book T.G.Masaryk and the Jewish Question by Miloš Pojar was presented in the Czech House Jerusalem. The book was introduced by the former Czech Ambassador to Israel Mr. Tomáš Pojar. Additionally, honourably guests as Professor Shlomo Avineri and Professor Alexander Yakobson joined Mr. Pojar for the presentation and following discussion.

Photo Exhibition - Velvet Revolution 1989

During the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, the Czech House Jerusalem presented a photography exhibition by curator Dana Kyndrová, which captures significant moments from before and just after the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia. The visitors could see 60 photographs of 15 leading Czech photographers who captured the turning points of our modern history.

Meanwhile, Elsewhere - The Century of Czech Comics

In November Czech House presented the exhibition Meanwhile, Elsewhere – The Century of Czech Comics. The exhibition was created as part of the commemorations of the major anniversaries of 2018 and has been organized through the Czech Centres’ project series “Czech Language and Literary Heritage”. The individual themes of the exhibit aimed to offer multiple perspectives – sections focusing on specific genres encounter others devoted to the nodal moments of Czech history.

AniNation 2019

From 6th until 10th of November, the animation festival AniNation took place. Five days with the best animation films from around the world, artist workshops, the cutting edge of local creators and VIP guests from overseas, VRAR events and gimmings, exhibitions, lectures, the first of its kind in Israel and abroad. In cooperation with the AniFilm in Cezch Republic we presented 14 original short animation created after 1989.

Jewish comunity in Boskovice

2.September.2019 An evening dedicated to memories of the town of Boskovice and its two inhabitants Eva Morris and Jaroslava Patloková was held in the Czech House Jerusalem.This event attended by other Boskovice descendants was co-organized by the Czech Embassy

Theater „Empire of Puppets“

19-24 August 2019, The theater „Empire of Puppets“ presented the czech tradition in puppet theater and manufacturing at the Arts&Crafts Fair in Jerusalem. Part of the presentation were also short performances and workshops for puppet manufacturing. The annual fair, called Hutzot Hayotzer, is one of the Jerusalem’s highlights of the summerr. The festival is a great place to get inspired and purchase art and functionally designed items
